Albus Dumbledore is one of the most powerful wizards in the world of the Harry Potter books and movies. He is also one of the important characters in the movie The Crimes of Grindelwald, a movie set in the same universe but in the 1920s in the United States. At that time the powerful Professor Dumbledore was still a relatively young professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but it was he who gave Newt Scamander the mission to track down the wizard Grindelwald, who committed terrible crimes in the United Kingdom before fleeing to the U.S.A.
