A woman of the 20’s

As we can see in the movie, Queenie has a typical style of the 20’s, from the clothes to the hairstyle. We find this pretty blue dress with a fluid line arriving under the knee worn over a pale pink underdress. We find as well the tightened sleeves and these geometrical lines at the level of the waist and the collar very typical of the fashion of this time. With that, she wears shoes with heels very typical of the 20s and holds her wand in her right hand. At the level of the head, her face is very simple but we find her blond hair with these pretty curls very characteristic of the hair fashion of the 20s.

A Legilimens Witch

Queenie Goldstein is one of the central characters in Fantastic Beasts and where to find them”, the new film by David Yates set in the world of Harry Potter but in the 1920s. The film is based on a book written by J.K. Rowling under the pseudonym of Newt Scamander, a zoologist who lists all the animals of the magical world. He went to New York in 1926 to continue writing his book. When he arrived, he met a muggle and in the confusion, they exchanged suitcases. Newt Scamander is then arrested by Tina Goldstein under the pretext that he is not registered, and she takes him in front of the equivalent of the Ministry of Magic in the hope of making herself look good and getting his place back. But it doesn’t work and Newt is released. She then takes him home with Jacob, the muggle who got Newt’s suitcase and let some of the creatures escape. Then they meet Queenie, Tina’s sister, a Legilimens witch, that is to say a witch with an uncommon ability to recognize when someone is lying, to visualize the memories of a person or to implant others. Queenie is a cheerful and kind-hearted young woman who will quickly fall in love with Jacob.
