Ron Weasley with Scabbers (Harry Potter)

A not-so-cute rat

Ron is pictured here at the time of the attack: he is wearing khaki pants that are soiled from lying around in the mud and brown shoes. With this, he wears a brown sweater over a red t-shirt sticking out at the collar. At the level of the head, we recognize of course his mass of red hair and we can see the few wounds at the level of his face. Finally, he holds in his hands his little grey rat Scabbers, who, despite his cute and innocent appearance, turns out to be the traitor Peter Pettigrew.

A rat like no other

Ron Weasley is one of the main characters of the Harry Potter saga telling the story of the famous little orphan boy discovering one day that he is a wizard. Ron meets and befriends him as soon as he arrives at the train station to take the train to Hogwarts. Ron comes from a very large family with five older brothers and a younger sister, all of whom have red hair like him and his parents. Like many children at Hogwarts, Ron has a pet, which in his case happens to be a rat named Scabbers. In the third film, Sirius Black, the man who supposedly sold Harry’s parents to Voldemort, escapes from Azkaban prison. Everyone thinks that he will try to attack Harry. But when Harry is confronted by the three friends in his dog form, he attacks Ron’s rat against all odds. Ron’s rat turns out to be Peter Pettigrew, a friend of the Potters who sold them out to Voldemort and then turned himself into a rat in order to pass himself off as dead and put the blame on Sirius.
