The Ghost Detector

Like his friend Peter Venkman, Dr. Raymond Stantz is of course represented on this figure with his ghost hunter suit. We can recognize the black boots and the grey/beige suit. As on the figurines of the other characters of the film, there are many details finely represented that make this figurine rather successful. He wears of course the ghostbusters” logo on his arm but also the black and red badge with his name and all his ghost hunter equipment. On his back, he wears the equipment that allows to lock them up but also holds in his hand and belt the detection elements. Finally Funko chose to represent him with the walkie-talkie allowing him to communicate with his friends, as well as his detection glasses on his forehead! For this franchise, Funko has not done things by halves! Indeed, in addition to the three main characters, it offers the car, some ghosts and the famous Marshmallow Man.

Dr. Raymond Stantz is one of the main characters of the fantasy comedy films Ghostbusters” 1 and 2. After causing a disaster at the university where they work, Dr. Raymond Stantz and his parapsychologist friends Peter Venkman and Egon Spengler are fired. They then decide to work to create a machine capable of capturing and imprisoning ghosts. They create their company called “Ghostbusters” and after a first successful intervention, they become real celebrities in New York. Played by Dan Aykroyd, the character of Raymond Stantz is probably the most invested in the adventure. He is with Egon Spengler at the origin of the idea and the manufacturing of the machine. But when they are called by the beautiful Dana to solve the ghost problem in her apartment, they will quickly realize that this time they are dealing with a spirit much more powerful than anything they had faced before.
