Black Panther Unmasked (Captain America Civil War)

Black Panther unmasked

This version of the Black Panther figure is exclusive to Walgreens stores. It is identical to the classic version except that on this one, Black Panther is not wearing his mask. As on the first figurine, the costume of Black Panther is very faithful to the one he wears in the comics. We find this all-black suit with beautifully reproduced texture details. At the wrists and ankles, we can see that he wears vibranium bracelets that are finely represented. Around his neck, we find of course his famous vibranium claw necklace. On the head, Black Panther is not wearing his panther mask, so we can see his brown skin and his slight goatee. Funko has also well represented his black hair and the very specific implantation of his hair.

The Avengers

Black Panther is a character from the movie Captain America Civil War. We don’t know his role in the movie yet, but he is a character that has existed in the comics since the 60s. His real name is T’Challa and he is the ruler of a fictional kingdom in Central Africa: Wakanda. The kingdom is very advanced technologically but has long lived in autarky. T’Challa has decided to change by succeeding his father in power. It is the only place in the world that has vibranium mines, a particularly resistant metal from which Captain America’s shield is made. In Avengers Age Of Ultron, Ultron had already gone to this country to try to build a body with this metal. Black Panther doesn’t have great supernatural powers, but he has heightened senses and agility and is a genius. He also has vibranium claws that make him similar to Wolverine. In Captain America Civil War, after the events of Avengers 2 in Sokovia, the government wants more control over the activity of superheroes. Captain America refuses to sign this agreement and this will start a conflict between the members of the Avengers team. Some like Falcon or HawkEye will follow Captain America, the others will follow Iron Man. From the first images of the movie, it seems that Black Panther is on Iron Man’s side.
