Buffy (Buffy The Vampire Slayer)

The typical Californian of the beginnings

As for Willow, Funko chose to represent Buffy with her style and her hairstyle of the first season. Indeed in the first season Buffy has the typical look of the superficial Californian and even sometimes a little vulgar. Later on, this will tend to be reduced to a more sober, adult style, adapted to the fight. In season 1, what comes back most often is the boots and miniskirt style as you can see on this figurine. With the little white top we can even recognize one of her outfits from the very first episode. Her haircut is particularly faithful: as in season 1, her hair is long, voluminous and dark blond. (later on, it will be shorter and of a much lighter blond). Finally Buffy is of course represented with the two indispensable accessories for vampire hunting, her silver cross and the wooden stake with which she kills them.

A high school girl like no other

Buffy Summers is the main character of the series Buffy The Vampire Slayer”. At the beginning of the series the girl has just moved with her mother in the small Californian town of Sunnydale. During her first days at school she befriends Willow and Xander, who soon realize that she is no ordinary high school student. Buffy is the latest in a long line of “slayers”, girls with extraordinary strength and abilities whose destiny is to fight vampires, demons and other evil forces. She will often be helped in her fight by her two friends and her watcher, Rupert Giles, who is none other than the new high school librarian. At the beginning and in spite of her destiny, Buffy remains a rather positive and superficial young girl. But as the seasons go by, the series will become darker, will gain in maturity and Buffy will evolve at the same time. A complicated first relationship and the sudden responsibility of her younger sister when her mother dies will make her grow up faster than expected. All these trials will make her stronger to fight more and more powerful enemies and will end up in the last episode of the series by defeating “the force”, that is to say the absolute evil.
