Groot with Stormbreaker (Avengers Infinity War)

A mighty little tree

For this version of Groot, Funko represented him holding the blade of Thor’s new hammer being forged and therefore still very glowing. Groot’s body is humanoid but made of bark and small shoots all over him. As always, this teenage version of Groot looks a bit angry and annoyed. On the top of his head, we see moss and many young shoots nicely represented. Finally, he holds in his hand Stormbreaker made of orange-yellow plastic, a bit transparent and very successful.

Guardians meet a god

Groot is one of the main characters of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and is now an important character in the Avengers saga. Groot was an anthropomorphic tree working in tandem with Rocket Raccoon, an intelligent raccoon, as bounty hunters. When they joined forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to save the galaxy, Groot sacrificed himself to save his friends. Rocket retrieved several twigs and grew a new Groot. In Avengers Infinity War, baby Groot grew up to be a teenager. The Guardians of the Galaxy come across Thor, whose body is drifting in space after Thanos destroys the ship that was bringing the rest of his people to Earth. In order to get to Earth to fight Thanos and use the Bifrost, Thor needs a new hammer. Rocket and Groot go with him to the blacksmith of the gods so that he can create for Thor Stormbreaker, his new hammer.
