Scuttle (La Petite Sir?ne)

A funny bird

Scuttle is thus represented here holding a fork (the one he takes for a comb) in his right wing which he uses a bit like a hand. He also has large orange webbed feet and an open beak of the same color. Its body is mainly white with the underside of the wings gray with a hint of black. On the head, it has a sort of white feathered puff as well as black feathers that give it the appearance of having eyebrows and a much more expressive face.

Category:

A supposed connoisseur

Scuttle is one of the secondary characters of the Disney cartoon The Little Mermaid and one of the many animal friends of the latter. Scuttle is a seagull with a particularly eccentric personality who, having had several accidents with humans that almost cost him his life, has proclaimed himself an expert on humans. He is the one that Ariel comes to when she finds objects in wrecks and needs an explanation as to what they are for. But Scuttle’s notions are actually quite vague, so he is wrong most of the time. For example, he explains to Ariel that the fork she found is actually a kind of comb. But Scuttle is also the only one of his friends to have the ability to fly and this will prove to be very useful on several occasions and especially in crisis situations.
