A convincing transformation

Funko has represented Adam with his face particularly transformed to scare the family who settled in his house. He wears his usual outfit, the one he dies in, that is to say, beige pants and a black and white checkered shirt over a red t-shirt. At the level of the head, we can see that he has pulled on his face to make a huge mouth, a big nose reminding a bird’s beak and enlarged and empty eye sockets. Finally, he holds a bloody eye at the end of each of his fingers.

Death is no picnic

Adam Maitland is one of the main characters in the movie Beetlejuice, the famous fantasy comedy by Tim Burton. Adam and his wife Barbara live in a lovely, traditional house in the country, and there’s nothing they like more than staying there and taking care of it. One day, they take their car to go shopping and on the way home, their car falls overboard when they swerve to avoid a dog. They drive home soaking wet but after a few hours, they realize that something is strange and indeed, they are actually dead in the accident. It is explained to them that for this reason, they have to stay in their house for many years before moving on. Only, the people who are buying their house are a family of New Yorkers who are determined to redo the whole house that Adam and Barbara had taken years to decorate. The couple will have to be convincing to make them leave but unfortunately, they will be rather delighted to have ghosts in their house.
