Agent May (Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD)

A perfect S.H.I.E.L.D. agent

Funko based the Melinda May action figure on the outfit she wears in the Season 1 promo photos (and in one of the first episodes of the series). May always wears practical outfits to be ready for battle at all times. She doesn’t wear the S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform that we can see Black Widow or Maria Hill wearing in the movies, but it’s close to it, just more casual. She wears military type pants with pockets on the thighs, but in a more tight and feminine version, with black boots with heels. On top she wears a very long sleeved t-shirt, marked with the SHIELD logo, with finely reproduced details. As in the photo, she wears a sleeveless leather vest. The details of the pockets and the belt are faithfully reproduced but the blue used is much brighter than the one she is wearing. Her face is very simple with the usual black eyes and eyebrows, but her haircut is particularly faithful, making the character easily recognizable.

The enigmatic Agent May

Agent May is a character from the TV series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D”. As its name indicates, it is a series of the Marvel universe taking place in parallel to the big licenses like Thor, Captain America, Iron Man or Avengers. It tells the story of a group of SHIELD (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division) agents, a government agency whose goal is to protect the Earth from all kinds of threats, especially alien ones. It was this agency that took an interest in Thor when he arrived on Earth, recruited Captain America and assembled the Avengers. But in this series, it is not superheroes or the director of SHIELD that we follow, but a team led by Phil Coulson. Melinda May is a “specialist”, she is the pilot of the plane that serves as their headquarters and an outstanding fighter. Melinda is a rather cold and withdrawn character who almost never smiles. Before joining Coulson’s team, she chose to have a desk job at SHIELD after a mission that went particularly badly. As a result of this mission, she received the nickname “The Cavalry” and we will have to wait until the middle of season 2 to get the explanation. Melinda May is very loyal to Coulson but, like any S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, she also has secrets.
