Black Knight (Monty Python And The Holy Grail)

A mysterious character

As his name indicates, the Black Knight is dressed entirely in black from his pants to his gloves or his coat of mail. On his tunic, we find his red emblem representing a boar. On his head, he also wears his famous black helmet that hides his face. Finally, in his right hand, he holds the sword with which he fights against Arthur and during which he loses his arms and legs. There is also an exclusive version of this figure with the arms detached from the body.

Black Knight is a character from the film Monty Python And The Holy Grail by the famous English comedians Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones. In the form of unrelated scenes, the story focuses on the Arthurian legend, the knights of the round table and the quest for the Holy Grail. Arthur meets the black knight in the forest while he is the guardian of a forbidden passage. Impressed by his fight against another knight, Arthur offers him to join him in the quest for the fight but this one is not interested and engages the fight. When Arthur cuts off his first arm, the black knight says that it’s nothing and continues the fight saying that he is invincible. Arthur finally cuts off both arms and legs and leaves, but the Black Knight continues to fight.
