Effie Trinket (The Hunger Games)

Colorful Style

Like all the people from the capitol, Effie has a particularly eccentric and colorful style of dress that contrasts especially with the very simple and practical clothes of the people of District 12. She is represented here with the outfit she wears when she comes for the first time in the district 12 for the selection of the champions, in the first movie. So we find this bright pink suit with big balloon sleeves. Funko also didn’t forget this big flower on the collar and these strange shoes with open toes. On the head, we find this strange curly blonde wig and very voluminous with a huge rose on the front. His face is quite simple but we find all the same this pink make-up around the eyes which gives him this so strange look.

A heart bigger than it looks

Effie Trinket is one of the important characters of the literary and cinematographic saga The Hunger games. The story takes place in the distant future in Panem, the country built on the ruins of what used to be the United States. This authoritarian country of 13 districts experienced a revolt 75 years before the events of the books. It was crushed by the government, the Capitol, and a rather bloody tradition was created to remind the people of the power of the Capitol over the people. Each year, two young men are chosen from each of the twelve remaining districts and fight to the death in a single arena, with the last survivor being crowned grand champion. Effie Trinket is the person charged by the capitol with the task of drawing lots for District 12. If she gives the impression at the beginning to take the games as a joyful event, Effie will finally get attached to the two participants drawn in the first book: Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen. It will be all the harder for her when she has to draw them again during the events of the second book/movie. We learn at the beginning of the third book that Effie is more of a rebel than she appears to be.
