Peeta Mellark (The Hunger Games)

Peeta, the survivor

Like the first Katniss figurine, Peeta is represented with the outfit he wears during the games of the first movie. Like Katniss, he is wearing military green pants and thick brown leather boots. Unlike Katniss, however, he wears only the gray T-shirt with which we see him in many promo photos of the film. He holds in his hand, the spear with which we see him training several times before the beginning of the games. Finally, on the head, his face is very simple but his eyebrows give him this worried expression that he often wears and his haircut is very faithfully reproduced, which makes this character particularly recognizable despite the relative simplicity of the figurine.

Peeta, the lover

Peeta Mellark is one of the main characters of The Hunger Games. This literary trilogy (adapted to the cinema in four films) is a futuristic dystopia taking place in Panem, built on the ruins of what is now the United States. This country of 13 districts is governed in an authoritarian manner. 75 years before the events of the first book, a bloody and violent revolution gave birth to a terrible tradition to remind the people of the power of the president and the government: the Hunger Games. Each year, two young men from each district are drawn to fight to the death in an arena. The last one alive will be crowned grand champion. Peeta Mellark is drawn alongside Katniss Everdeen in district 12. Secretly in love with her for years and knowing that he has little chance of winning, he will do anything to ensure that she survives. But when they find themselves the last ones alive in the arena, they threaten to kill themselves and force the organizers to let them both live. While they were only trying to survive, they will trigger events they were not ready to imagine.
