Gellert Grindelwald (The Crimes Of Grindelwald)

An already old wizard

Grindelwald is represented here as we have already seen him at the end of the movie Fantastic Beasts. He is wearing an elegant black suit with a white shirt and a green jacket on which he has added a long black coat. He also holds the famous elderberry wand (one of the three deathly hallows) in his right hand. On the head, his hair cut in the fashion of the time is already all white and one of his eyes is also white and potentially blind.

Before Voldemort, there was Grindelwald

Gellert Grindelwald was one of the most powerful and dangerous wizards in the Harry Potter world. He met Albus Dumbledore when they were still teenagers and the two young men soon became very close friends. They continued to write to each other regularly as they grew older and began to discuss the idea of overturning the laws hiding the wizarding world so that they could find their true place in the world and dominate the muggles too. With this in mind, they also began to talk about Deathly Hallows, which could actually make them quite powerful. But Grindelwald’s thirst for power got out of hand and a fight broke out between Grindelwald and Dumbledore’s brother. Albus stood up for his brother, but it ended tragically when his sister fell victim to a death spell. Their friendship ended at that point and Dumbledore vowed to find him and stop him. The Crimes Of Grindelwald is based on this story and takes place in the United States in the 1920’s.
