Geralt De Riv is the hero of The Witcher video games adapted from the famous novels of Polish fantasy author Andrzej Sapkowski, set in a medieval fantasy world inspired by Polish history and Slavic mythologies. He is a sorcerer, that is to say a monster hunter. Like most wizards, he undergoes mutations created by potions, herbs or virus inoculations. This made him sterile but also particularly strong, resistant to diseases and spells and gave him certain powers such as the ability to see in the night.
