A changing man
Mad-Eye Moody is an important character in the fourth Harry Potter book and movie by J.K Rowling. We will find him again for smaller but important appearances in the following films. It tells the story of Harry Potter, a young English boy who discovers, at the age of eleven, that he is a wizard and that his parents died to protect him from Voldemort, the most terrible wizard of his time, who wanted to kill him for a mysterious reason. Harry enters Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where he makes new friends and learns about the world of magic. In the fourth book and film, Hogwarts hosts the Goblet of Fire, an event that brings them together with two other magical schools for a series of events reserved for the champion of each school. Although he is underage, Harry finds himself selected along with the real Hogwarts champion and has no choice but to participate. This year, the school has a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Alastor Moody, nicknamed Mad-Eye Moody because of his strange glass eye. This one is a former auror (hunter of evil wizards) and he will do everything to help Harry in his trials. We will finally realize that it is a supporter of Voldemort who pretended to be him so that Harry wins the tests and ends up exactly where they wanted him to be so that Voldemort can use him to take human form again. Mad-Eye Moody is found locked in some sort of magical trunk. In the following episodes, he is an important member of the resistance against Voldemort and he will be killed while protecting Harry in the last episode.
