Miss Peregrine (Miss Peregrine)

A raven look

In Tim Burton’s film version, Miss Peregrine is dressed in black as she is supposed to be but with a more eccentric style. We find this black dress coming to the knees with its sleeves inflated to the shoulders and a blue fabric appearing at the level of the skirt. She holds in her hands the crossbow which she uses to defend herself. Her blue boots match her skirt and the colored streak in her black hair. At the level of the head, her face is simple but we find well the pink make-up on her eyelids. Her hair is styled in a big bun on the side and we can find this large curly hair in a 40’s style but in a strange style that gives this particular character. Finally, she is accompanied by the shape of a bird that she can take at will.

A Funny Bird

Miss Peregrine is one of the main characters in Tim Burton’s film Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, adapted from the fantasy novel by Ransom Riggs. Throughout his childhood, Jacob had heard his grandfather tell him stories about the strange children in the orphanage where he grew up. As he grew older, Jacob came to believe that these were just stories, but when, at the age of 16, his grandfather died in strange circumstances that left him traumatized, his parents agreed that he should go to Wales to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather’s childhood. It is then that he will discover the famous orphanage and the famous children of which he had seen the photographs. They are trapped in a time loop in 1945 that protects them from those who would wish them harm. Miss Peregrine is the director of the orphanage and has the special power to maintain this time loop. She can also, like all other women of her species, transform herself into a bird. She is going to teach him more about her grandfather and the power that he possessed and that he transmitted to her.
