The Tunnel Specialist

Like all the other robbers, Moscu is shown here in his red robber’s outfit, a zippered jumpsuit that they share with the hostages and wear with big black boots. He is shown here with a big hammer in his hand, being the tunnel specialist of the team. Finally, at the head level, we find his thick and curly brown hair as well as his grey beard and moustache which hide a big part of his lower face.

A Surrogate Father

Moscu is one of the main characters in the Spanish series La Casa de Papel. He is recruited with seven other criminals to participate in the biggest bank robbery ever. The idea is to break into the mint in Madrid, take the people there hostage and print over two billion of their own totally untraceable bills. Moscu is specifically recruited because he is a specialist in creating tunnels, having worked in a mine for many years before participating in robberies. He has just been released from prison when he is recruited by the Professor and, with his son, Denver, owing a lot of money to his drug suppliers, Moscu insists that he be part of the operation. One of the Professor’s first rules is to make sure the heist goes off without violence to keep public opinion on their side. But even without this, he and his son Denver are nonviolent and Moscu tends to act as a surrogate father to the younger members of the group as well.
