Phillip (South Park)

The Boy in the Blue Sweater

Like his friend Terrance, Phillip is portrayed as all Canadians are in South Park: with a head that opens squarely in two when he speaks instead of having an animated mouth. The only thing that differentiates him from Terrance is his blue sweater with a black P drawn on it and his blond hair. Other than that, his legs are two simple gray sticks with black squares to form his feet.

The children’s hero

Phillip is one of the two members of the comedy duo Terrance and Phillip that the children of the animated series South Park regularly watch on TV. Their humor usually consists only of finding excuses to fart on each other and make scatological jokes. It’s a good opportunity for the show’s writers to parody the worst of American TV. The parents of the town find it so bad and distressing that they even manage to convince the president of the United States to declare war on Canada under the pretext that we cannot tolerate a country that appreciates this kind of humor.
