Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory)

Sheldon version season 1 and green lantern t-shirt

As it has already been said, Sheldon is a pure geek, a great connoisseur of everything that exists in the field of science fiction, heroic fantasy or video games. So he often wears vintage t-shirts inspired by these universes or the world of science. This first figurine represents him with one of his outfits from the first season: his green t-shirt with the symbol of the DC Comics superhero Green Lantern. There are two variations of this shirt. The first one, which is exactly the one of the figurine is notably in the episode 10 of the season 1 The Loobenfeld Decay”. A slightly different one can be found in episode 13 of season 1 “The Bat Jar Conjecture”. But as in this episode, Sheldon wears his usual striped long sleeve shirt under his green lantern shirt. However, the creators of the figurine didn’t go as far as to represent the plaid pants he wears at this particular moment and settled for one of his usual brown pants. The little detail that I liked on this figure is the raised eyebrow that gives Sheldon that bewildered look he so often gets when facing “ordinary” people.

Sheldon Cooper, genius and geek

Sheldon Cooper is one of the main characters of the series The Big Bang Theory” and probably the most popular. He is a theoretical physicist at Caltech University in Pasadena, California. Sheldon is a very unusual character, he is a gifted person who got his first PhD at the age of 16 and he never gets tired of telling his friends and colleagues about it. He’s also a pure geek, a fan of many works of science fiction, hero-fantasy, comic books and video games. But what characterizes him are also all these little obsessions, his mania, his sometimes very childish attitude and his discrepancy compared to “normal” people. Sheldon lives with his best friend, roommate and colleague Leonard Hoftstadter. It is through him that they will meet most of the other characters of the show: his two colleagues and friends Howard Wolowitz and Rajesh Koothrappali. In the first episode, the two roommates also meet their new neighbor Penny, a pretty and shallow blonde who aspires to be an actress and with whom they will become friends. It is the contrast between this character and the 4 geeky scientists that will create the main comic springs of the series.
