The most loyal soldiers

The Unsullied have been trained since childhood to be soldiers and even after regaining their freedom, they choose to remain soldiers. They are then paid by Daenerys to fight and therefore keep the same outfit as the one we see them wearing in the scene where Daenerys offers them their freedom. We find this light grey outfit and these sandals already worn by Grey Worm, the captain of the Unsullied, already represented in miniature. He also wears this light armor in grey metal at the level of the torso, which we can see the very particular pattern. In his hands, he carries the spear and the round metal shield with which he always fights. Finally, his head is almost entirely covered by his helmet. The details and the metallic aspect of this one are very nicely represented. Only his eyes and a part of his brown skin are visible.

Daenerys’ soldiers

The Unsullied are characters in the famous HBO series: Game Of Thrones. This series, adapted from George Martin’s novels A Song Of Ice And Fire, takes place in a medieval fantasy world mainly on two continents: Essos and Westeros. The Unsullied are the soldiers recruited by Daenerys Targaryen to return to Westeros and take the throne that is rightfully hers. Indeed, when an alliance of the great families of Westeros joined forces to fight the king of the time: Aerys Targaryen the mad king”, her family was forced to flee. Daenerys found herself alone with her older brother Viserys. He sold her in marriage to Khal Drogo, a barbarian warrior in exchange for an army. But Daenerys finally managed to get her independence, some loyal warriors and ships. She then went to Astapor in the hope of recruiting soldiers. She was offered to buy “Unsullied”, eunuch slaves trained since their childhood in a cruel way to become fearless soldiers. Daenerys offers to buy them for one of her dragons. But she will actually tell her dragons to burn the slavers and offer the soldiers their freedom and to work for her. They will become her most loyal allies from this point on.
