A very personal look

Klaus is represented here with his fetish pants, black leather pants entirely laced and thus open on the side. He is here barefoot with black painted nails and bare-chested with a pendant around his neck. He is also wearing his sister Allison’s pink feather boa and is holding a bottle of alcohol in his hand and his posture suggests that he has already drunk a certain amount. It is written goodbye on his left hand. Finally, at the level of the face, we find his small goatee as well as his eyes circled of black and his brown hair always in mess.

A deadly power

Klaus is one of the seven main characters of the series The Umbrella Academy inspired by the comic of the same name published by Dark Horse. In 1989, dozens of women around the world gave birth to a baby on the same day without having been pregnant before. One man managed to adopt seven of these children and created the Umbrella Academy, a superhero academy. The series begins with the death of the adoptive father when the children have all left home long ago. Klaus is an eccentric with always crazier looks, often wearing women’s clothes, leather pants and lots of make-up. Klaus is also always more or less drunk or on drugs. As the story progresses, we learn that he does this because it is the only way to silence his power to see and hear the dead, especially his brother Ben, who died during one of their last missions. If his power can sometimes seem useless to him, he will realize that by becoming completely sober, he can use his body to let the dead act through him, in particular his brother Ben and his very useful power.
