A very present ghost
Ben is one of the important characters of The Umbrella Academy series. Like his siblings, he was born under strange circumstances and was adopted as a baby. Like them, he soon showed signs of unusual abilities and their father trained them to become superheroes. But Ben died during a mission that went wrong and that was the end of their mission. They all split up and did not meet again until their father died at the beginning of season one. Ben was there because of Klaus who has the power to see the dead. At the end of season one, he realizes that he can also take over Klaus’ body. At the beginning of season two, the siblings have been sent back in time to the 1960s and all separated. Ben stays with Klaus, who has started a sort of cult in spite of himself, and he takes advantage of this to take possession of his brother’s body on several occasions. At the end of the season, when Vanya loses control of her powers again, it is he who comes to help her, sacrificing himself as he is pulled into the afterlife permanently. Just when we think Ben is done, the siblings travel back in time to their own era but find themselves in an alternate reality where Ben is alive.
