A gremlin punk

Funko chose here to reproduce a very specific gremlin, the one who is born with a little crest of white hair on the top of the head. His body is of course green and a bit reptilian with clawed fingers. Where the mogwai was cute and hairy, the gremlin is covered with thick scales and its mouth is open with two rows of impressive teeth. Finally, his belly and arms are covered in part with green plus flesh patterns and red lines, making him a really fun figure.

A terrifying transformation

The gremlins are the results of the transformation of the adorable mogwai in the movies of the same name. Indeed, at the beginning of the first movie, the father of the young hero is looking for an original gift for his son in the store of an old Chinese man. He finds a mogwai named Gizmo, a small furry creature that looks like an adorable stuffed animal. And while it’s adorable and harmless, the owner warns the father that there are very strict rules to follow to avoid disaster. It must not get wet or it will lay eggs giving birth to new creatures and it must not be fed after midnight or it will turn into a gremlin, a green and stupid creature with a taste for chaos. And of course, the worst is going to happen.
