An adorable baby
Groot is an anthropomorphic alien tree and one of the main characters of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. In the first film, Groot is at his adult size, which is taller than an average human, and works as a bounty hunter with Rocket, a genetically modified raccoon. When they attempt to capture Peter Quill, who has kept an ancient artifact for himself to share with his group of pests, they realize that he is also being pursued by the dangerous Gamora. A fight ensues and they are all arrested by the police and sent to jail. Aided by Drax, who wants revenge on Ronan, Gamora’s boss from whom she tried to escape, they set up a plan to escape and split the price of the resale of the object. But while they managed to escape, the terrible Ronan manages to recover the object and wants to use it to destroy an entire planet. The small group decides to do everything to prevent him from doing so and at one point, Groot sacrifices himself to protect them all. Fortunately, Rocket manages to recover a living thumb and grows a new Groot in a small flowerpot.
