An elegant man

As a eunuch since his childhood, Varys has never had the appearance of a warrior, preferring rather elegant outfits reminiscent of his homeland: Volantis. He is shown here wearing a long yellow tunic with long sleeves and crossed over the torso. At the level of the torso and the edges of the sleeves, we find pretty turquoise flowers embroidered and finely reproduced. On the head, we find his head completely shaved and his eyebrows raised to give him that suspicious look he so often wears.

A capital character

Varys is one of the most present characters in the show just after Tyrion although he is very rarely put in the foreground. He has long been the master of spies at King’s Landing court. And although he has served under different kings and has always managed to get by, he has in fact always worked behind the scenes to try to favor the rulers who would be the most beneficial to the people. That’s why he tried to negotiate against the execution of Ned Stark and why he did his best to help Tyrion when he was the king’s hand. And when Tyrion was accused of Joffrey’s death and sentenced to death, Varys conspired with Jaime to get him off. That’s when he revealed his ultimate goal: to help Daenerys return to power. And he believes that Tyrion will also be able to help him in this task by offering his advice.
