Merry (The Lord Of The Rings)

A bon vivant above all

For this long awaited figurine of the young hobbit, Funko decided to represent him with the famous cape and the leaf-shaped brooch given by Galadriel and especially with a beer in his hand. Like the other Hobbits, he wears short brown pants that show his bare and hairy feet. He also wears an elegant yellow vest under a green jacket reaching his knee. On the head, his face is very simple and we find his blond and curly hair so typical of the physical appearance of those of his race.

The troublemaker

Merry is one of the members of the Fellowship of the Ring in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and like his cousin Pippin, he finds himself embroiled in it somewhat by accident. Indeed when Gandalf discovers that the mysterious ring that Bilbo had left to his nephew Frodo before leaving is in fact the terrible ring of power of Sauron, he orders him to leave immediately to join the security of Rivendell because Nazguls are looking for him. He leaves, accompanied by Sam, and on the way they come across Merry and Pippin stealing carrots in a field. When the Nazguls catch up with them, they have no choice but to flee to Frodo. However, in the course of the trilogy, Merry will eventually show true courage and loyalty. He will decide on his own to accompany Frodo in his quest to destroy the ring and he will be largely responsible for the involvement of the Ents in the war of the ring.
