A short career
Phoebe is the eccentric heroine of the series Friends. She is part of the famous little group of six New York friends whose adventures and evolution we follow for ten seasons. Phoebe is the second to last to join the group, Monica and Ross being brother and sister, Rachel knowing them since childhood and Chandler having met Ross in college. Phoebe is Monica’s first roommate when she moves to New York. But Monica being too rigid, Phoebe preferred to live alone. In spite of a very difficult childhood, Phoebe always remains very positive and benevolent with an eccentric side which makes her charm. Phoebe is a professional masseuse but she also has a passion for music and singing. Her style is very particular with songs with rather bizarre lyrics often telling very down to earth stories. Towards the beginning of the series, she is spotted by a producer who offers her to record and make a video clip for the song You stink of cat” (Smelly Cat in VO). But she decides to break the contract when she realizes that a more professional singer has re-recorded the song in her place.
