Pop Minn-Erva (Captain Marvel)

A Remarkable Warrior

So for this SDCC 2019 exclusive figure, Funko has depicted Minn-Erva, the Kree warrior and sniper. She wears the uniform of her elite troop (the same one that will form the basis of Captain Marvel’s later on). The base is black with green boots and wrist guards as well as other small green elements and a star on the chest. She also holds her rifle that allows her to shoot from a distance in her right hand. At the head level, we find her blue skin with a green mask and her dark blue hair pulled back to the side completely.

A hidden enemy

Minn-Erva is a secondary but important character of the movie Captain Marvel telling the origin story of the famous superhero Captain Marvel. Minn-Erva is a kree and is part of the elite troop of soldiers that includes Vers (who will later become Captain Marvel). Although they are theoretically on the same side, the latter has always been aggressive and rather hostile to Vers. The latter was brought back to the Kree planet Hala by her mentor Yon-Rogg a few years ago and she has no memory before that. She has strange dreams, however, and seems to have an unexplainable power that Yon-Rogg insists she control. When Vers chases a Skrull to Earth, she’ll discover things about her past and realize that her Kree friends may not be the good guys she thought they were in her story.
