A great champion
Rafael Nadal is a Spanish tennis player born in 1986 on the island of Majorca. He is often considered the greatest clay court player in the history of tennis. He played many sports as a child, including soccer, which he remains very passionate about, but it was tennis that revealed his talent. He started playing at the age of three and soon his uncle, Toni Nadal, became his coach. In 2002, he played his first tournament on the major circuit. In 2004, he participated for the first time in the Davis Cup with Spain and finished second. Since then, he has won 19 grand slam tournaments and at the French Open he has only lost twice and won his other 93 matches. In addition to his impressive performances, he is also particularly appreciated by the public and other players for his fair play.
