Rochelle (The Craft)

A typical 90’s look

Like the other girls, Rochelle is shown in her high school uniform. She is wearing a short green and blue plaid skirt with a small white short-sleeved blouse. With that, she wears black suspenders and a long black necklace with a cross at the end. She also wears small black shoes with heels and high blue socks. Finally, at the level of the head, we find her brown skin as well as her thick curly and half-long hair partly held back by a barrette. She also wears earrings in the shape of a cross.

A persecuted witch

Rochelle is one of the four main characters of the 90’s cult movie The Craft. Set in Los Angeles, it follows three high school girls who are passionate about the occult and witchcraft and who worship a dark deity named Manon and perform rituals to obtain magical powers to improve their lives. Rochelle is perpetually persecuted for her skin color and curly hair by a group of rich and racist girls. But their rituals have little effect until the day Sarah, whose powers seem to be innate, arrives. The three young people become friends with her and ask her to join their circle. Their rituals begin to work much better and Rochelle even gets revenge on the girl who has been persecuting her when she inexplicably starts to lose all her hair. But the rituals start to become more powerful and dangerous and Sarah wonders if it isn’t time to stop. Unfortunately the other three girls don’t agree and things start to get out of hand.
