The giant with a big heart
Hagrid is one of the characters of the literary saga Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, and of the films which are the adaptation. This saga tells the story of a young boy named Harry Potter who discovers the summer of his eleventh birthday that he is a wizard, and not just any wizard! When he was one year old, the terrible wizard Voldemort tried to kill him. But Harry survived and Voldemort was terribly weakened, lacking any real physical form. Unfortunately, his parents died protecting him and Harry ended up living with his aunt and uncle, horrible people who always hid his past from him. Hagrid is the one who Dumbledore entrusted Harry to on the night his parents died and who took him to his aunt and uncle. Logically, he is also the one who is sent to look for Harry, when his uncle refuses to let him read his admission letter for the prestigious Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Physically, Hagrid does not go unnoticed since he is half human, half giant, but he has in fact a particularly sweet and warm personality. He quickly becomes attached to Harry and the feeling is mutual as he is also the first person to be kind to Harry since his parents died. Hagrid is the guardian of Hogwarts School and will often help Harry, Ron and Hermione in their adventures. He is officially not allowed to use magic since he was unjustly accused of dropping a watch in the castle when he was a student. But Dumbledore knows the truth, and has always trusted him greatly.
