Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin in its japanese name) is a manga written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama.
Humans live inside three huge walls called Maria, Rosa and Sheena. Over one hundred years ago, humanity was driven to the brink of exinction after the emergence of humanoid giants called Titans, who attack and eat humans on sight. The last remnants of humanity retreated behing those walls where they lived in peace until a mysteriously huge titan appeared and destroyed the first wall. War has been declared.
