The leader of the warriors
Antiope is one of the best and most important Amazon warriors of the mythical island of Themyscira in the movie Wonder Woman from DC Comics Studios. The Amazons were created by Zeus when the god of war Ares decided to prove that men, Zeus’ favorite creation, were not as good as he thought. After the Amazons fought and defeated him, they retreated to the island of Themyscira. But Zeus entrusted them with a baby, young Diana, whose destiny would be to kill Ares forever when he returned. But her mother, queen Hippolyta, decided to raise Diana in ignorance of this fact and not to train her for battle. Antiope, thinking that it is only a matter of time before she is forced to fight, decides to train her in secret. And she is right, because a few years later, when Diana is an adult, a plane crashes into the water near the island. On board, there is an American pilot trying to escape from the Germans while the First World War is turning to the advantage of the Allies. Diana saves him from drowning but the Germans chase him down the beach and the Amazons are forced to engage in combat. The Germans are quickly defeated but Antiope loses her life protecting Diana.
