Brienne Of Tarth (Game Of Thrones)

The giant warrior

Brienne is shown with the golden armor she wears during seasons 2 and 3. It is a quality armor showing that Brienne comes from a rich family. The different elements of the armor have been finely represented, not forgetting the patterns of the shoulder pads and the pectoral as well as the few contrasting elements in grey metal. Under this armor we can see the tunic of blue plates, which surely refers to the nickname of the island of Tarth The Sapphire Island”. Brienne being above all a warrior, she is represented with her sword in hand and its scabbard around her waist. Her short blond hair is disheveled as if she had just been in battle. Finally, in order to respect the imposing physique of the character, the creators of the figurine seem to have created the body according to a mold usually reserved for male characters. In fact, if you place it next to the other figures of the series, it exceeds them all by 0.5 to 1 cm (except perhaps The Hound).

Arya and Sansa Stark in one character

Brienne of Tarth is a character from the novels A Song Of Ice And Fire” and the series “Game Of Thrones”. Appearing in season 2 as a secondary character, she will take a greater importance from season 3. Perfectly played on screen by Gwendoline Christie, Brienne is the only heir of Lord Selwyn Tarth. Her unusual physique and considered unattractive for a woman (tall, muscular, with small breasts and a broad face), she will soon give up the idea of marriage and decide to become a knight. She first gained the respect of Renly Baratheon and became a member of his royal guard. When he was murdered, she was unjustly accused and went to work for Catelyn Stark, one of the only other people who showed her kindness and courtesy. Catelyn will trust her to escort Jaimie Lannister to King’s Landing, Jaimie having promised to send her daughters back to her in exchange. Despising Jaimie at first, she will end up respecting him when they are taken prisoner and he will save her from a violent death. When they arrive at King’s Landing, Sansa has disappeared but Jaimie wants to keep his word. So he sends Brienne to find her and bring her to safety. Brienne is a formidable fighter with a strong sense of honor, but she can sometimes be a bit naive about her idea of chivalry. This makes her a sort of cross between the sisters Sansa and Arya Stark. Although she comes from a noble family, she is very uncomfortable in “the world” and will often seek silence and solitude.
