For this first figurine of Captain Marvel, Funko has of course represented her with her super-heroine costume in the bright colors of the 90’s, the period during which the movie takes place. This one is blue, almost entirely metallic, with touches of red and this famous golden star on the chest. She also wears big red reinforced boots. She holds her fists closed in a fighting posture. At the level of the head, we find her blond half-long hair.

A super-powered heroine

Captain Marvel, whose real name is Carol Denvers, is one of the most powerful super-heroines in the Marvel universe, and the heroine of the Marvel Studios movie Captain Marvel, which tells her origin story. We discover her at the beginning of the movie under the identity of Vers, a human living on the planet Hala of the Kree. Her earliest memories date back only six years and she is tortured by terrible nightmares. Her mentor Yon-Rogg tries to help her master her powers and emotions, but one day the planet’s artificial intelligence shows her images of herself on Earth with other people she has no memory of. Following a mission that goes wrong, Vers crashes on Earth in the 90s and is pursued by skrulls, the enemies of the Kree. She then crosses paths with SHIELD agents Phil Coulson and Nick Fury. While trying to understand the threat of the Skrulls, Nick Fury will also help Vers to find the memories of her old life.
