Crossbones (Captain America Civil War)

A style faithful to that of the comics

Although we do not know yet his role in the film, we can suspect that he will be a new enemy for both sides of the Avengers. As we can see on the first pictures of the shooting and on his pop figure, it seems that the directors of the movie have respected the look of Crossbones in the comics. We can find these khaki military pants and this black SHIELD combat suit marked with an irregular white X. On the arms, he wears heavy metal armatures with finely reproduced details. On his head, he wears a black full face helmet also marked with irregular white paint. Through the opening of the helmet, one can only see his eyes and the burnt skin around.

An enemy always faithful to Hydra

Crossbones is an important character of the movie Captain America Civil War. His real name is Brock Rumlov and he first appeared in Captain America The Winter Soldier. He is a well-known character in the Marvel comics universe, but his origin is a little different here. He is a SHIELD agent who participates in some operations with Captain America. But when Steve Rogers starts to realize that there is a conspiracy within S.H.I.E.L.D., it seems that Rumlov is part of it. We soon learn that Hydra has been infiltrating S.H.I.E.L.D. for years and that Rumlov is part of it. At the end of the movie, he is left for dead after a fight with Falcon but he is finally saved although he is very badly burned. He will reprise his role as Crossbones in the Captain America sequel. In this new movie, following the events of Avengers 2, the government wants to regulate the activity of superheroes and make them sign an agreement. Steve Rogers will refuse to sign this agreement and will then enter in conflict with the Avengers team. Those who are against this law will follow Captain America and those who will be on the side of the government will follow Iron Man.
