Jaime Lannister (Game Of Thrones)

When all was well

Jaime is shown wearing the armor we see him wearing several times in season 1. It is a particularly luxurious golden armor well representative of his rank as a knight and the wealth of his family. As in the series, his membership in Robert Baratheon’s royal guard is symbolized by the crown drawn on his breastplate and his white coat. The armor is quite well rendered even if we do not find all the finesse of the patterns drawn on it. The whole outfit is in white gray tones as it should be for a member of the guard. Finally Jaime is represented with the famous blond and perfectly coiffed hair of the Lannisters that he shares with his brother and sister. This appearance contrasts particularly with the one he will have in the following 2 seasons and it is funny to see that the more his physique and his situation deteriorate, the more his honor and his chivalrous attitude reappear.

Prince Charming

Jaime Lannister is one of the main characters in the novels A song Of Ice And Fire” and the series “Game Of Thrones”. Jaime is the eldest son of the powerful Lord Tywin Lannister of Casterly Rock. He has a twin sister, Cersei, with whom he has had an incestuous relationship since adolescence. He is even the father of the children she is supposed to have had with her husband, King Baratheon. Jaime’s nickname is “Kingslayer” because he was part of King Aerys’ royal guard during the war between him and his own father. It was he who killed the king with his own hands, but we will learn later that his motives were more noble than everyone thinks. Jaime is finally not very present in season 1 and in season 2 he is a prisoner of the Starks. It is only in season 3 that he becomes a major character, when Catelyn Stark frees him and makes him escort Brienne to King’s Landing in the hope that he will send her daughters back. This journey will make him lose some of his arrogance and restore his desire to behave nobly as the knight he is supposed to be.
