Stannis Baratheon (Game Of Thrones)

The Grey Knight

Stannis Baratheon is a rather rigid and cold character and this is how he is represented on this figure. Still mainly a warrior, he is mostly seen in armor, so it was logical to find it on this figure. As in the series, his armor is in gray metal and relatively sober. We can still find his new emblem on his chest: a flaming heart. He wears a brown belt at the waist to which is attached a golden key. He wears in addition to that boots, gloves and a black cape and holds of course in his hand his sword. At the level of the head, his eyes are not round to give him this cold look and his beard and his goatee have been finely represented. His short grey hair is also faithfully represented.

The rightful king

Stannis Baratheon is one of the main characters of the Game Of Thrones series, the famous television adaptation of A Song Of Ice And Fire, the series of novels by George Martin. The action takes place in a medieval fantasy world where the great families of the continent of Westeros have been fighting for power for a long time, while in the very north of the continent, beyond the wall that is supposed to protect them, the White Walkers are getting dangerously close. In the first season, Ned Stark, the king’s right-hand man, discovers that his children are the fruit of incest between Queen Cersei Lannister and her brother Jaime. She then arranges to have the king killed. Fearing for his life, Renly Baratheon, the king’s younger brother, leaves the court to form his own army. For his part, Stannis Baratheon, already knowing the truth about Cersei’s children, had already retreated to his home. When he hears the news of his brother’s death, he decides to form an army to take back the throne that is rightfully his. He will be helped by Melisandre, a priestess of the new religion he has adopted. Unfortunately, Stannis is a cold and unsympathetic man who will rally few people to his cause, which will cause the failure of his first attack against the capital. But he will not stay there and although he is initially a righteous man, he will be more and more influenced by Melisandre, which will push him to irreparable acts.
