Kim Boggs (Edward aux Mains d’Argent)

A fairy look

Kim is shown here with the dress she wears for Christmas Eve near the end of the film. It is a white dress composed of a skirt falling below the knee and a bustier revealing the shoulders. The sleeves are three quarters and there is a big bow at the level of the neckline. She also wears white shoes with heels and a buckle at the ankle. Finally, at the level of the head, we find her long and slightly wavy Venetian blond hair with a fringe falling on her forehead.

An American teenager

Kim Boggs is one of the main characters in Tim Burton’s film Edward Scissorhands. When Peg finds the famous Edward, a strange young man who is not quite human, she decides to take her home to her family. He has been living alone since the death of his creator and often hurts himself with the scissors he has for hands. If her husband and her young son accept and even appreciate Edward a lot, it is not the case of Kim and her friends who find him strange and do not miss any opportunity to make fun of him. But when her boyfriend embroils Edward in an illegal scheme to steal things from his own father’s house and Edward is blamed for the whole thing, Kim begins to see him differently. Spending more time with him, she becomes attached to him and sees everything that others see in him, including his talent, and even ends up falling in love with him. Unfortunately, the town will start to turn against Edward and he will be forced to flee.
