The genesis of a character

Scarlett Witch wears only one outfit throughout the film, so it is logical that she is represented on this figure. Although there are some elements in common with the comic book version, such as the omnipresence of red, the style of Scarlett Witch has been strongly adapted for something more sober and realistic on screen. This is logical, since it is the genesis of the character that is told in this film. We find this simple black dress rather short with this characteristic red leather jacket. There are also many details that make this figure particularly faithful: the shades of red on the jacket, the rings and various pendants and her long leather mittens. On her feet, she wears, as in the film, black boots and high socks with holes. On the head, her face is very simple and her hairstyle, although simple too, remains faithful to the character. Finally, like many of the latest POP figures, Funko has taken particular care with the character’s posture, which places him immediately in the action of the film.

A mysterious character

Scarlett Witch is one of the important characters of the Marvel Studios movie: Avengers Age Of Ultron. This movie indirectly follows the events of the first Avengers but especially those of Captain America, The Winter Soldier and some episodes of season 2 of the series Agents Of SHIELD. At the beginning of the film, the Avengers recover Loki’s scepter, which had been stolen from within SHIELD by Hydra agents. The stone contained in this sceptre will allow Tony Stark and Bruce Banner to create a super artificial intelligence which would be the ultimate defense system of the planet. Unfortunately, this entity will conclude that the only way to save the planet is to destroy humanity and start over. It then builds a robotic body in Iron Man’s laboratory and recruits two twins: Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver. They had been held for years in Hydra’s laboratories, where they underwent experiments that gave them superpowers. Scarlett Witch has the power of telekinesis and the ability to manipulate the minds of others at will. Ultron will first use their hatred of Tony Stark to achieve his ends, but when they realize his ultimate goal, they will eventually join forces with the Avengers.
