Storm (Marvel)

Movie-inspired design

This Storm figure features her signature style from the X-Men movies, specifically X-Men 3. She wears a skintight leather jumpsuit with silver lines on the front of the pants and the X-men’s X on her belt. She is also wearing a long black cape with a light metallic interior. She holds her hands forward and a blue lightning bolt is produced between her two hands. Her skin is brown and, like in the movies and comics, her eyes are white, showing that she is using her powers. Finally, her hair is white and cut in a square.

A powerful mutant

From her real name Ororo Munroe, Storm is one of the most powerful and famous mutants of the X-Men comics from Marvel. She is the daughter of a Kenyan princess and an American photographer. She was born in the United States, but her parents moved to Egypt soon after. During the Suez Canal crisis, her home was destroyed and her parents killed, and she found herself living on the streets before making her way to Kenya on foot. During her months-long journey, she developed powers of control over the elements, allowing her to sail on air currents. For a time she was worshipped as a goddess by a tribe in the Serengeti before Professor Xavier visited her and asked her to join his school for mutants. She made friends there and became one of the most loyal members of Professor Xavier’s X-Men. She later met and married T’Challa, also known as Black Panther, and became Queen of Wakanda.
