An Extraordinary Power
Vanya is one of seven Hargreeves children adopted from mothers who were not pregnant at the time of their delivery. The story begins with the father’s funeral and the reunion of the children, now adults, who had not seen each other for a long time. Their father had created the Umbrella Academy to make them superheroes, and their father was not a very loving father, so they had left him one after the other. Vanya grew up apart from her family because she was convinced that she had no special talent and had devoted herself to her love of the violin, which she had made her profession. But with their brother Number Five returning to warn them of the coming apocalypse and her meeting Leonard who seems to have so much in common with her, events are about to change. Vanya will discover that she actually has a power and that it was the drugs that had always made her take her father that were inhibiting them. She eventually remembers and finds a diary from her father explaining that his power was in fact too powerful and devastating. After an argument where she hurts her sister, her brothers try to lock her up, she will go into a rage and destroy the academy and let her powers unleashed to finally be herself the cause of the apocalypse.
